THE STARTER REPORTED: a) O'TENIKWA (C Orffer) and MONUMENTAL (C Zackey) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) There was a delay to the release of the official result as a result of a network connection issue. b) Jockey M Mjoka reported that BLUFF ON BLUFF was blowing heavily post-race. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) Jockey D Ashby was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (Appendix E) in that he mis-used his crop by striking SI VELOCE forward of the saddle in the latter stages. Jockey D Ashby signed an admission of guilt and was fined R1 000.00. d) O'TENIKWA, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer WA Nel was advised.
