Stipes Report

During the loading process STARS IN HEAVEN (S Moodley) reared in the stalls on one occasion. This gelding was removed, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded. This caused a delay to the start of the race.

THE STARTER REPORTED:  
a)	A fair start.

  THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a)	Shortly after the start IMPERIAL POWER (S Hlengwa) was brushed by LAZY GUY (*B Plaatjies) which rolled out. 
b)	At the 1100m when racing in restricted room between STARS IN HEAVEN (S Moodley) and NOW I GOT YOU (M Yeni), IRON WILL (A Mgudlwa) and MAR DEL PLATA (T Godden) brushed on two occasions.
c)	At the 200m Jockey S Moodley (STARS IN HEAVEN) accidentally dropped his crop.
d)	Approaching the 50m IMPERIAL POWER (S Hlengwa) was brushed in by MAR DEL PLATA (T Godden) which rolled in. Thereafter MAR DEL PLATA (T Godden) was switched to the outside of LAZY GUY (*B Plaatjies) to continue its run.
e)	Jockey C Habib reported that GIMME A RAINBOW did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
f)	TERIYAKI (M Thackeray), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A J Rivalland advised (SP).
JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES :
a)	MAR DEL PLATA raced without blinkers (advised 04.09.2024/08h08).

  THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : 
a)	GIMME A RAINBOW : Not striding out right hind and coughing.
