Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FIRST LORD dislodged Work Rider X Mlunguzi while proceeding to the start, bolted the course and was withdrawn, causing a delay. b) DANCING IN WINTER dislodged Work Rider J Dhlamini while proceeding to the start, bolted the course, was taken in hand, examined by the course Veterinary Surgeon and withdrawn, causing a further delay. c) QUEEN OFTHE PALACE (+M July) was injured during the loading process and withdrawn. d) HAT MAN (+S Liyaba) rushed the front gates of the starting stalls. e) ALLEY OF FACT (+S Nqoloba) and GOTCHA BUZZ (+MZ Naki) jumped slow, losing two lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Due to a technical issue in the Boardroom, the start of this race was further delayed. This was brought to the attention of the Racing Operator's technical team. b) ALLEY OF FACT proved difficult proceeding to the start and Work Rider S Nqoloba dismounted at the 400m and led this gelding to the 800m, where he remounted. Thereafter, ALLEY OF FACT had to be led by a Handler to the start. Trainer K Mitchley was advised that should this gelding behave in a similar manner in future engagements, it may be suspended. c) GOTCHA BUZZ (+MZ Naki) took an awkward stride at approximately the 400m. d) ALLEY OF FACT (+S Nqoloba) shifted inwards from approximately the 400m. e) FLASH LIGHTNING (+H Tsewu), which was hanging in, was allowed to shift inwards without any attempt to straighten by Work Rider H Tsewu from the 200m. Work Rider representative, Mr M Mienie, will be advised that Work Rider H Tsewu will be required to attend the Work Rider's Training program and be re-passed suitable to ride in Work Rider races prior to accepting any future riding engagements. f) DYNAMITE JET (+A Mbumbulu) was hanging out throughout. g) WAR SWORD, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer DA McKenzie was advised.
