THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	RESURGENCE (S Naidoo) recorded a TCO2 concentration of more than 36 mmol/L. Trainer K Mitchley was advised that a second blood specimen would be collected. This specimen was of an acceptable TCO2 level.
b)	RESURGENCE (S Naidoo) took an awkward stride shortly after the start.
c)	FREDERICOS PASSION (C Maujean) shifted out away from the crop at the 400m.
d)	CAPTAIN TIK TOK (C Zackey) was hanging in from the 300m.
e)	Jockey R Fourie reported that MARQUEZ coughed post-race. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
f)	WORDSWORTH, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer NJ Paddock, acting on behalf of Trainer WGC Miller, was advised. (LM)
