THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PROFESSOR SNAPE (*T Mayhew) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) CELTIC RUSH (K Matsunyane) hung in from the 400m. b) In view of the performance of POCKET WATCH (C Habib), (distance 5,35 lengths, betting 7/2), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. c) In view of the performance of EIFFEL TOWER (R Danielson), which commenced to give ground to the field from the 150m, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) EIGER SANCTION (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S J Gray advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) BLACK LIGHTNING raced with a pressure halter (declared 10 October 2024 at 10H30). b) TO THE RESCUE raced with a tongue tie on (declared 15 October 2024 at 12H43).
