THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	Fair start.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	At the 1200m FUTURE SWING (R Fourie), which over raced in the early stages, was allowed to race round runners and to the front of the field.
b)	At the 200m FUTURE SWING (R Fourie) had to be checked to avoid the heels of BARATHEON (T Godden), which shifted out without correction. 
	Jockey T Godden was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that as the rider of BARATHEON he failed 	to ensure that he did not cause interference to FUTURE SWING when he shifted out at the 200m. Jockey T 	Godden signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in races for a period of 7 days. (Dates to be 	advised)
c)	At the 150m LOVE IS A ROSE (A Andrews) was steadied briefly when tightened for room between OTTO LUYKEN (JP van der Merwe) and FUTURE SWING (R Fourie).
d)	In view of the performance of RAPIDASH (G van Niekerk) (Betting 2/1; Distance 12.50 lengths), which was hanging out in the straight and proved difficult to assist, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
e)	Jockey C Zackey reported that he felt something amiss with PACAYA and he did not persevere with his riding from the 300m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
f)	BARATHEON, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer PAW Botha was advised. (SC)
