Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	DONTSHOOTTHEBARMAN (K Matsunyane) jumped inwards leaving the stalls.	
b)	CHYAVANA (S Moodley) was slow losing one length.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	CHYAVANA (S Moodley) jumped awkwardly outwards leaving the stalls making contact with the left-side gate. 
b)	Shortly after the start, SHELDON (G Lerena) had its hind quarters turned inwards when bumped by DREAMLAND (R Fourie), which was brushed in by DONTSHOOTTHEBARMAN (K Matsunyane), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls.	
c)	Jockey R Fourie (DREAMLAND) did not persevere with his riding from the 250m.  Thereafter,  Jockey R Fourie reported that he felt something amiss with this gelding in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.			
d)	In the concluding stages, CHOCOLATE SOLDIER (M van Rensburg) was steadied momentarily when racing into restricted galloping room between LUNARCAM (T Godden) and COSMIC STAR (M Yeni), which was directed inwards to avoid running onto the heels of RICHARD THE FIRST (R A Venniker).
e)	DONTSHOOTTHEBARMAN (K Matsunyane) hung in the concluding stages. 
f)	In view of the performance of CHOCOLATE SOLDIER (M van Rensburg), (distance 10,25 lengths, betting 4/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
g)	CHYAVANA (S Moodley), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.	
Trainer J J van Vuuren advised (MS).
When questioned regarding this gelding's poor run on the 10th of October 2024, Trainer J J van Vuuren could offer the Board no suitable explanation. His attention was drawn to the Rules pertaining to In and Out running.

a)	SHELDON raced equipped with blinkers	(declared 1 November 2024 at 08H25).
