THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SECRET RECIPE (R Danielson) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) As the start was effected GRECIAN PALACE jumped awkwardly inwards which resulted in Apprentice G Samo-Burthia's shoulder making contact with the right-side front gate. b) GRECIAN PALACE (*G Samo-Burthia) tired rapidly from the 300m and thereafter Apprentice G Samo-Burthia reported that he felt something amiss with this filly in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) Jockey M van Rensburg reported that STREISAND made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning GRECIAN PALACE, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this filly is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Assistant Trainer W Marwing, acting on behalf of Trainer W H Marwing, was advised. e) Apprentice G Samo-Burthia, the rider of GRECIAN PALACE, rode a satisfactory qualifying ride. f) RATTLE BAG (P Strydom), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
