ON ARRIVAL AT THE START, WHISPERS OF WAR (AUS) (M VAN RENSBURG) WAS SUBJECT TO A LATE VETERINARY EXAMINATION AND SUBSEQUENTLY SCRATCHED. TIME WAS ALLOTTED FOR THE BETTING PUBLIC TO RESTRUCTURE THEIR BETS. THIS CAUSED A DELAY TO THE START OF THIS RACE. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SAFE SPACE (C Maujean) jumped outwards leaving the stalls.
