Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) HOLOCENE (K Minnie) jumped awkwardly. b) MY AMI BEACH (J Gates), GRADUATION TIME (K Matsunyane), SWISS WALT (X Ndlovu) and LUCKY SPIRIT (S Khathi) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) SWISS WALT recorded a TCO2 concentration of more than 36 mmol/L. Trainer Z Oosthuizen was advised that a second blood specimen would be collected. This specimen was of an acceptable TCO2 level. b) MY AMI BEACH (J Gates) had to steady off the heels of A BIT CHILLY (C Habib), which shifted outwards slightly at approximately the 200m. c) ARTURO (R Fourie) was baulked for a clear run at approximately the 400m and had to be switched out for a clear run. d) ARTURO, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised.
