Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	SEQUOIA (R Fourie) and CHEROKEE CHIEF (M Yeni) jumped inwards and SAVAGE LOVE (N Klink) jumped outwards leaving the stalls.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:

a)	In the concluding stages, WONDERING STAR (M van Rensburg) which shifted out away from the crop and DOUBLE MARTINI (K de Melo) which rolled in, came together and brushed.
b)	SEQUOIA Jockey R Fourie did not persevere with his riding in the concluding stages.  Jockey Fourie reported that SEQUOIA made an abnormal respiratory noise in running.  The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt.
	Assistant Trainer A Ndzilana was requested to report back to the Board on the condition of this colt on return to stables.
c)	Jockey W Kennedy reported that ANCIENT ROME took no interest and refused to raise a gallop.  In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
 	Trainer P Peter was requested to report back to the Board on the condition of this gelding on return to stables.
d)	ICE MAN COMETH (J Mariba), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.  Trainer J A Soma advised (RS).

JOCKEY CHANGES:

a)	BRIDGE OF SPIES was ridden by Apprentice J Solomons who claimed his 1,5kg allowance (declared 19 March 2022 at 11H30).
b)	CHEROKEE CHIEF was ridden by Jockey M Yeni (declared 19 March 2022 at 08H13).
