THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO MIX THE MAGIC (J GATES) BEING SUBJECT TO A LATE VETERINARY EXAMINATION.

THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	SEVENTEEN AGAIN (*T Mayhew) was stubborn loading.
b)	RAINING RUBIES (J R Syster) jumped inwards leaving the stalls.	
c)	ONE PARTY (C Maujean) and QUASIKAT (J Penny) were slow into stride.	

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	As the start was effected, SEVENTEEN AGAIN (*T Mayhew) was unbalanced and had its hindquarters turned inwards when bumped by RAINING RUBIES (J R Syster), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls. This resulted in SEVENTEEN AGAIN (*T Mayhew) losing position and giving ground to the field. Consequently, SEVENTEEN AGAIN (*T Mayhew) was not persevered with from the 600m. Thereafter, Apprentice T Mayhew reported that he felt something amiss with SEVENTEEN AGAIN. 
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. 
b)	Jockey C Habib reported that INVENTRIX made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. 
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. 	
c)	Jockey J R Syster reported that he felt something amiss with RAINING RUBIES in running. 
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. 	
d)	Jockey K A Brewer reported that TWICE AS WILD changed stride continually in running. 
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare.	
e)	FASTNET FILLY (IRE) (M van Rensburg), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis (MS).
