THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	FORT IMPREZA (K Steyn) jumped slow, losing one length.
b)	OKAVANGO (R Fourie) was slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	OKAVANGO (R Fourie) was hanging out from the 300m.
b)	Leaving the 200m BOMBERS IN THE SKY (D Schwarz) and ARDABIL (G van Niekerk), both of which were initially directed towards the outside of the racecourse and raced in close quarters, made contact when ARDABIL (G van Niekerk) rolled out marginally. Jockey D Schwarz called for a race review after which he lodged an objection on behalf of the 2nd placed horse BOMBERS IN THE SKY against the first-placed horse ARDABIL (G van Niekerk) on the grounds of interference and intimidation in the latter stages.  The Objection Board, after giving regard to the evidence put forward, reviewing the patrol films and giving consideration of the margin of 0,2 of a length between the two horses concerned, could not be satisfied that BOMBERS IN THE SKY (D Schwarz) would have finished ahead of ARDABIL (G van Niekerk) had this incident not occurred and therefore overruled the Objection.  Jockey D Schwarz' deposit was refunded.
c)	ARDABIL, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.  Assistant Trainer C Snaith, acting on behalf of Trainer SJ Snaith, was advised. (KG)
