CELTIC BEAUTY (S Veale) and SAFE AND SOUND (K Matsunyane) failed to parade in front of the grandstand. Trainers A Rivalland and D Howells respectively were advised that should these fillies behave in a similar manner in the future, they may be suspended. The start of this race was delayed due to CELTIC BEAUTY (S Veale) and PERILLA (R A Venniker) having to be resaddled at the start. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MISS PLATINA (C Habib) and SAFE AND SOUND (K Matsunyane) were stubborn to load. b) GREEN VALKYRIE (T Godden) and PERILLA (R A Venniker) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) CELTIC BEAUTY (S Veale) and SIGN OF FATE (D Daniels) over-raced in the early stages. b) At the 200m STORMY CHOICE (S Hlengwa) was carried in by SIGN OF FATE (D Daniels) which was directed inwards to continue its run. c) MARY'S GREENLIGHT (R Danielson) hung out from the 100m. d) Jockey T Godden reported that GREEN VALKYRIE did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) MARY'S GREENLIGHT (R Danielson), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M F De Kock advised (DZ).
