THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ALL ABOUT LOVE (R Fourie) jumped awkwardly and was slow into stride. b) COME ON YOU SPURS (C Little) and CHEAP THRILLS (K Steyn) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) FEARLESS BADGER (C Zackey) and CHEAP THRILLS (K Steyn) bumped shortly after the start. b) QUELIMANE (*D Pillay) was buffeted between CHEAP THRILLS (K Steyn) and HE'S A GAUL (K Minnie), which jumped inwards slightly. c) Jockey C Zackey reported that FEARLESS BADGER did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Trainer GD Smith will be advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this gelding on his return to the stables. d) ALL ABOUT LOVE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer TJ Laing, acting on behalf of Trainer SJ Snaith, was advised.
