THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	MIGHTY MAC (O Noach) was restless in the stalls and jumped slow, losing two lengths.
b)	THE PROPRIETER (J Solomons) jumped slow, losing two lengths.
c)	GO IT ALONE (K Steyn) was slow into stride.
d)	RAFA BAY stumbled badly leaving the stalls and dislodged Jockey JP van der Merwe.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	Shortly after the start SAIL TO THE MOON (C Orffer) was bumped heavily by the riderless RAFA BAY which, after stumbling, regained its footing and shifted out sharply.
b)	Jockey J Solomons reported that THE PROPRIETER did not stride out freely in running and he did not persevere with his riding in the latter stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
c)	Jockey M Winnaar reported that NIGHT TIGER changed stride continually in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
d)	BLUFF ON BLUFF, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.  Trainer ELP Steyn was advised. (TL)
