Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	MISTER BLUE SKY (R Munger) and ATTENTIVE (J Greyling) were slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:

a)	Approaching the 1700m, a number of runners suffered varying degrees of interference.  The Board have adjourned to review this incident and to give it further consideration.
b)	An Investigation will be opened into an incident which occurred in the Jockeys quarters following the running of Race 8.
c)	ORUS APOLLO (M Yeni) hung in from the 400m.  Thereafter Jockey Yeni reported that ORUS APOLLO did not stride out freely in running.  The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.  
d)	FLYING GRACE (C Habib), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.  Assistant Trainer C Naude advised (AH).

JOCKEY CHANGES:

a)	ATTENTIVE was ridden by Jockey J Greyling.
b)	WALTZING AL was ridden by Apprentice J Solomons who claims 1,5kg allowance.

RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER:

a)	ORUS APOLLO raced fitted with a compression mask (declared 16 March 2022 at 08H00).


THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED:

a)	SOPHIA'S FIRST bloody nasal discharge right nostril.  Endoscopy - nothing obvious detected (TL).
b)	ORUS APOLLO examined post race, nothing obvious detected.
c)	FORT WYLIE blowing and moderate post race distress.
d)	BURNING ICE cut medial aspect left front canon.

THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS.
