THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO STOP THE TRAFFIC (L NHLAPO) PROVING STUBBORN LOADING. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) STOP THE TRAFFIC (L Nhlapo) was stubborn loading and thereafter slow into stride. Trainer C J Lensley was advised to reschool this gelding prior to his next engagement (GT). b) RAGAMUFFIN (Wes Marwing) and BLUE CRYSTAL (J Gates) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) OKLAHOMA TWISTER (J R Syster) over-raced in the early and middle stages. b) CHIEFTAIN'S SHIELD (*T Mayhew) hung in in the concluding stages. c) LEGENDARY (P Strydom), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer C Naude, acting on behalf of Trainer C Binda, was advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) LEGENDARY was ridden by Jockey P Strydom (declared 15 January 2025 at 08H42).
