b)	DANCE LESSON (M van Rensburg) was slow losing one length.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:

a)	ROCK YOU (R Munger) was baulked for a clear run from the 250m to the 100m.
b)	Jockey K de Melo reported that SAY WHEN did not stride out freely in running.  The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. 
c)	Jockey K Matsunyane reported that he felt something amiss with DANCING ARABIAN in running.  The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
d)	Jockey C Zackey reported that he felt something amiss with HOLLYWOODBOUND in running and did not persevere with his riding in the concluding stages.  The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
e)	In view of the performance of DANCE LESSON (M van Rensburg), (betting 4/1, distance 5,50 lengths), The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
f)	Jockey D David was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that he misused his crop by striking FROMHERETOETERNITY more than twelve times in the entire race.  Jockey David signed an Admission of Guilt and a fine of R1500 was imposed.
When assessing the penalty, the Board took into consideration the number of times the crop was used (13), the manner in which and distance over which the crop was used and Jockey David's recent record with regard to this Rule and Guideline (3).	
g)	FROMHERETOETERNITY (D David), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.  Assistant Trainer A Peter advised (GF).
