THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	PACAYA (RA Venniker) lost two lengths when it was bumped by ROYAL AUSSIE (K Matsunyane), which jumped out. During this incident, PACAYA (RA Venniker) was turned outwards and was unbalanced. 
b)	SEE IT AGAIN (P Strydom) was slow into stride. 

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	LITIGATION (M Yeni), ORIENTAL CHARM (JP van der Merwe), MAGIC VERSE (A Domeyer),  BARATHEON (T Godden) and ZAPATILLAS (L Mxothwa) made their run on the outside of the course upon entering the straight. 
b)	FUTURE SWING (G van Niekerk) was hanging out from the 400m.
c)	In the concluding stages RED PALACE (G Lerena) and MONTIEN (C Orffer) raced tight. During this incident, 	Jockey C Orffer (MONTIEN) was accidentally struck on the left arm by the crop of Jockey G Lerena (RED 	PALACE).
d)	An Inquiry will be held into Jockey R Fourie's (EIGHT ON EIGHTEEN) use of the crop.
e) 	In view of the performance of LITIGATION (M Yeni), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this 	gelding.
f)	EIGHT ON EIGHTEEN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.  Trainer SJ Snaith was advised. (TL)
g)	ORIENTAL CHARM, the second-placed horse, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.  Trainer B Crawford was advised. (TL)
