THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	AND ACTION (*N Baboo) and EPIC THUNDER (MK Katjedi) were stubborn loading.
b)	DYNAMITE JET (S Khathi) was stubborn loading and jumped slow, losing one length.
c)	CAUGHTUBYSURPRISE (X Ndlovu) was stubborn loading and jumped slow, losing two lengths.
d)	MISS PRIOR (C Zackey) and PARDON ME (Y Ramzan) were slow into stride.
	
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	A power failure was experienced in the Judge's, box which was restored at 12h40.  This caused a delay to the start of Race 1.
b)	MISS PRIOR (C Zackey) was hanging in from the 400m.
c)	DYNAMITE JET (S Khathi) shifted out away from the crop from the 200m.
d)	Jockey MK Katjedi reported that EPIC THUNDER did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt.
	Trainer E Kaknis was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this colt on his return to the stables.
e)	Apprentice N Baboo (AND ACTION) rode a satisfying qualifying ride. 
	In the pull-up area, Apprentice N Babbo was dislodged from AND ACTION.  Apprentice Baboo was 	attended to on course by the paramedics. This precluded Apprentice N Baboo from being able to weigh in. In 	terms of Rule 66.2 the Stewards were satisfied that AND ACTION had carried the correct weight.
f)	CHOC'LATE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer DA McKenzie was advised. (LM)
