THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	ALADO'S PRIDE (K Minnie) and SILVER TYCOON (C Little) were examined by the course Veterinary Surgeon on arrival at the start and passed suitable to race, causing a delay.
b)	ALADO'S PRIDE (K Minnie) jumped slow, losing one length.		
	
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	RED WILLIAM (Y Ramzan), SOUND OF THE SEA (MK Katjedi) and BARZALONA (*N Baboo) raced wide on the turn and into the straight.
b)	PISCES (S Naidoo), which took an awkward stride, shifted inwards to obtain clear running at approximately the 350m.
c)	BARZALONA (*N Baboo) shifted inwards away from the crop, without assistance from the Rider, from the 300m.
d)	Jockey C Zackey reported that he felt something amiss with POTENT CAPTAIN. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
	Trainer DA McKenzie was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this gelding on his return to the stables.
e)	Jockeys E Webber (ERMITAGE) and S Khathi (LANCIAFIAMME) appeared before the Board and were advised not to use their crop when their mounts are out of contention for a place.
f)	GRANDIOSA, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer K Mitchley was advised. (LM)
