THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	FIRST MASTERPIECE (JP van der Merwe) was reluctant to load.
b)	KYALAMI GIRL (C Orffer), JAPANESE ROSE (L Mxothwa) were restless in the stalls.
	
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	The same technical issue with regards to the head-on and cross-over, experienced in Race 7, occurred in this race and was again reported to the IT specialist.
b)	At the 300m, JAPANESE ROSE raced in restricted galloping room between ARTISTE (R Fourie) and PEACE OF 	MIND (M Mjoka), which was hanging out.
c)	At the 100m PEACE OF MIND (M Mjoka) and KYALAMI GIRL (C Orffer) brushed when KYALAMI GIRL (C 	Orffer), which was held up for a clear run, was directed outwards and away from the heels of BLUE HOLLY (A 	Arries).
d)	FIRST MASTERPIECE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.  Trainer PP Kruyer was advised. (TJ)
