THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FIRE GLOW (K Steyn) was stubborn loading. b) ARTICUNO (X Ndlovu), STRANGE MAGIC (E Webber), MY AMI BEACH (J Gates) and BYTHELITEOFTHEMOON (R Fourie) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) FREE WORLD (C Maujean) was hanging in from the 400m. b) STRANGE MAGIC (E Webber) had to be steadied off the heels of ELLA'S DELIGHT (M Yeni) and directed outwards to obtain clear running approaching the 100m. c) Jockey X Ndlovu reported that ARTICUNO changed stride continually in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Trainer AC Greeff was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this filly on her return to the stables. d) Jockey R Fourie reported that BYTHELITEOFTHEMOON changed stride continually in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) Jockey E Webber reported that he felt something amiss with STRANGE MAGIC. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. f) Jockey K Minnie reported that HOLLY'S VIEW did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. Trainer AC Greeff was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this mare on her return to the stables. g) FREE WORLD (C Maujean) returned with a bilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage and is suspended for a period of 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1.
