THE STARTER REPORTED: a) JET FOR TIME (D Ashby) jumped awkwardly outwards and thereafter was slow into stride. b) APOLLO MOON (R Fourie) jumped slow, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Leaving the stalls GOING UP (G Cheyne) became unbalanced and lost ground when bumped by POLAR WORLD (C Zackey), which shifted out away from JET FOR TIME (D Ashby). b) POLAR WORLD (C Zackey) and SAFE TO ASSUME (AUS) (G van Niekerk) over raced in the early stages. c) Jockey R Fourie reported APOLLO MOON did not stride out freely in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) LA FOLIE DOUCE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer C Snaith, acting on behalf of Trainer SJ Snaith, was advised.
