THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) The start of this race was delayed as the horse ambulance was late arriving at the start as a result of the incident in Race 3. b) IGNITETHELIGHT (X Ndlovu), which over raced in the early stages, refused to take the first bend at the 1800m. c) Jockey M Yeni (TAP SHOES) dropped his crop shortly before the finish. d) LOTUS ISLAND, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
