THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CERTAINLY (L Tarentaal) jumped slow, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) NIPPY WINTER (C Zackey) proved difficult to settle in the early stages. b) Leaving the 100m LITTLE MISS PINK (O Noach) was bumped heavily by FUN ZONE (G Wright), which changed stride, shifted out sharply and was immediately straightened. c) Jockey R Fourie reported that LA FOLIE DOUCE made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) STIPTELIK (AUS), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer B Crawford was advised.
