THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MAMAS BABY (A Mgudlwa) jumped awkwardly and lost 1 length. b) PANTEA (S Moodley) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Leaving the starting stalls HEREINAFTER (T Godden) and PREDATOR'S FEAST (*K J Lihaba) were eased when tightened between MAGICALLEE (C F Dicken) which jumped out and WILL O ME (*B Plaatjies), which jumped in. b) At the 900m ARVERNI PRINCESS (C Maujean) rolled out and was steadied off the heels of VISION OF WILL (*R A Venniker), which rolled in. c) At the 800m ARVERNI PRINCESS (C Maujean) and HEREINAFTER (T Godden) were carried in by VISION OF WILL (*R A Venniker) which shifted in. As a result MAGICALLEE (C F Dicken) was eased off the heels of HEREINAFTER (T Godden) and thereafter MAMAS BABY (A Mgudlwa) was steadied off the heels of MAGICALLEE (C F Dicken). Apprentice R A Venniker signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that as the rider of VISION OF WILL, she failed to ensure that she did not cause interference to WILL O ME (*B Plaatjies), HEREINAFTER (T Godden) and MAGICALLEE (C F Dicken) at the 800m. Accordingly, a penalty of a suspension from riding in races for a period of seven days was imposed (dates to be advised). d) In view of the performance of MAGICALLEE (C F Dicken) (9.70 lengths, 20/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) CERTAINLY (R Fourie), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M J Odendaal advised (NS). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Jockey T Godden was the rider of HEREINAFTER (advised 06.11.2023/07h34). b) Jockey C Habib (FASHION MISTRESS) weighed out at 54.3kg, 0.5kg over the carded weight.
