THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ROCKY COAST (L Hewitson) was restless in the stalls and lost one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Jockey M Khan reported that STAND BY ME (AUS) (19.75 lengths) did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. b) Trainer M Prinsloo signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 11.2.8, in that he presented TOP SALUTE in the parade ring incorrectly equipped for this Race. Accordingly, after considering his record in relation to this Rule (2), a fine of R250 was imposed. c) OH YEAH (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer W Miller advised (TN). Trainer W Miller appeared before the Board and was questioned regarding the improved performance of OH YEAH (G Lerena) compared to this horse's last run on the 20 July 2020. In this regard, he explained that OH YEAH had gone too fast in front in its last run compared with today's sectionals which were more appropriate. Additionally, it was this gelding's first run in KZN after a lengthy lay-off and travelling between provinces. Consequently, OH YEAH was fitter for today's run. The Board noted the explanation of Trainer W Miller. JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) SILVER CENT raced with alumites in front, unshod behind, raced with cheek pieces and not pacifiers as carded (advised 14.08.20/10h54). b) REGENT SEVEN raced unshod (advised 19.08.20/07h55). c) OH YEAH was ridden by Jockey G Lerena. d) ISIKHETO raced with alumites in front, unshod behind (advised 14.08.20/10h09). e) DURAN was ridden Jockey J Samuel. Reserve runner (advised 24.08.20/07h19). f) BURNT ROCK Jockey S Randolph weighed out at 56.3kg, 0.5kg over the carded weight of 55.5kg. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil.
