Jockey Yeni did not ride at today's meeting due to being medically indisposed. The start of this Race was delayed due to BURNING LOVE getting his head wedged under the front starting gates. This gelding was removed from the stalls, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and was withdrawn. There was a further delay due to VOLITAIRE (AUS) being very stubborn to load and the bridle on THE REFORMATION having to be re-fitted. DANTE'S ROCK, HARRY FLASHMAN and WICKED WOLF were slow into stride. TO THE REGIMENT lost one length. DAY'S OF THUNDER lost two lengths. BURNING LOVE got his head caught up in the front gates, removed from the stalls, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and was withdrawn. INN FLITEMODE was restless in the stalls. PRINCE OF PROMISE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. FOREIGN POLICY and INN FLITEMODE made contact shortly after the start. INN FLITEMODE raced wide in the early and middle stages. HARRY FLASHMAN over-raced in the early stages. TO THE REGIMENT raced green. MINALOUSHE VENTURE was hanging in, in the straight, shifted in slightly making contact with REBEL CIRCUS passing the 100 metre mark. In view of the performances of DANTE'S ROCK and THEY SAY, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these geldings. In view of the Starter's report concerning VOLITAIRE (AUS), this gelding's starting stall certificate is withdrawn until recertified tractable with a companion. WICKED WOLF raced with alumites in front and unshod behind. Vet: DANTE'S ROCK - nothing obvious detected. Trainer Drier was advised to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the condition of DANTE'S ROCK on his return to stables. THEY SAY - lame left hind. Scratched: BURNING LOVE - injured head in the starting stalls and was withdrawn by the Veterinary Surgeon. VOLITAIRE (AUS) - refused to load and was withdrawn by the Starter.
