THE STARTER REPORTED: a) RUBY SLIPPERS (S Veale) lost 2 lengths. b) SHEIK'S STORM (L Hewitson) was restless in the stalls, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to race. c) IN JEST (S Randolph) kicked the back gates. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) At the 1400m, RUBY SLIPPERS (S Veale) was momentarily cramped and was eased on the inside of TOMBOLA (M Yeni). b) HEREINAFTER (D Dillon) was carried out by TOP SALUTE (A Arries) between the 250m and the 150m. c) Jockey K de Melo reported that JOYFUL WINTER (5.00 lengths) did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) In view of the performance of RUBY SLIPPERS (S Veale) (24.10 lengths) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) TOMBOLA (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer W Whitehead advised (TN).
