STOP AND STARE fly jumped leaving the stalls and lost two lengths. PANTSULA lost one length. NINJINSKY'S SON lost two lengths. ELUSIVE WOLF was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. PODCAST was hanging out throughout. PANTSULA was hanging in, in the straight. PODCAST was cramped and steadied near the 150-meter mark. Approaching the 100-meter mark PETER PIPER hanging in, shifting in slightly carrying PANTSULA and CHECKPOINT CHARLIE inwards resulting in TECHNO CAPTAIN being cramped for a short distance. Jockey de Melo rider of PETER PIPER appeared before the Board with regard to this incident and was advised to take stronger measures to keep his mounts on a straight course in future. A tiring PODCAST shifted out in the closing stages carrying KINGSTON BOY outwards. Apprentice Ferraris the rider of THEY SAY reported this gelding not striding out freely in the closing stages and as a result he did not persevere with his ride. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. In view of the performances of PODCAST, KINGSTON BOY and NINJINSKY'S SON the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these geldings. PANTSULA returned post-race having cast the right fore shoe. NINJINSKY'S SON raced with cheek pieces. STOP AND STARE raced with alumites in front and unshod behind. Vet: PODCAST, NINJINSKY'S SON and THEY SAY - nothing obvious detected. KINGSTON BOY - not striding out right hind. STOP AND STARE - coughing.
