THE STARTER REPORTED : a) C'EST MAGNIFIQUE (W Agrella) and LOVE THE VIEW (L Hewitson) lost one length, respectively. b) MANIC MAYHEM (B Jacobson) lost three lengths and thereafter, was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) At the 150m, BURNING WINGS (A Marcus) which was hanging in from the 300m, and FLYING PETER (K de Melo) which was hanging out from the 400m, proving difficult to assist, came together and brushed. As a consequence of this incident, BURNING WINGS (A Marcus) became severely unbalanced, shifted in sharply, and carried in and bumped FLYING PETER (K de Melo). A member of the Stipendiary Board called a race review into this incident. However, after reviewing the patrol films of the race with Jockey K de Melo, no further action was taken. b) Jockey W Agrella reported that C'EST MAGNIFIQUE (11.90 lengths) coughed post-race. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) Trainer D C Howells signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 10.5.6.1 in that he failed to notify the Chief Stipendiary Steward within 2 days that the horse BOURBON BEAT is a gelding. Accordingly a penalty of a warning was imposed. d) BURNING WINGS (A Marcus), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer J Buckler acting on behalf Trainer G Kotzen was advised (DA). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) LOVE THE VIEW raced with ear muffs (advised 13.12.2020/07h31). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) BELLS AND WHISTLES : The ownership should read :- Messrs Dave Hawkins, Douglas Campbell, M Chettiar, Gary Clarke, D S Fry & S A McGregor. Colours : Emerald, orange sleeves, brown cap (sold with engagement). b) BOURBON BEAT is a gelding. Gelded 06.03.2020. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) C'EST MAGNIFIQUE : Nothing obvious detected.
