THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DADS DREAM jumped inwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) At approximately the 200m, PLAY WITH THE WIND had to ease when awkwardly placed on the outside of COLD SHINE, which shifted out away from the crop. Apprentice J Botes was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that he, as the rider of COLD SHINE, failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to PLAY WITH THE WIND (K Matsunyane) when he shifted out at approximately the 200m. Apprentice J Botes signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in one (1) Central Province racemeeting. Suspension date: 5 July 2026. c) In view of the performance of SHIVERING LIGHT, (distance 14,20 lengths, betting 16/1), the Veterinarian was requested to examine. d) In view of the performance of CHAMPAGNE PROBLEMS, (distance 15,40 lengths, betting 66/1), the Veterinarian was requested to examine. e) Jockey S Moodley reported that MAVERICK QUEEN did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinarian was requested to examine. f) SET TO MUSIC, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Dawson was advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. THE VETERINARIAN REPORTED: a) SHIVERING LIGHT not striding out behind. b) CHAMPAGNE PROBLEMS not striding out left front; fatigued. c) MAVERICK QUEEN not striding out right hind.
