THE STARTER REPORTED: a) JANICE'S SECRET (AUS) (J Gates) lost 2 lengths. b) COZY DOT COM (T Godden) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) JANICE'S SECRET (AUS) (J Gates) had to be ridden to keep pace with the field from the 1400m. Thereafter at the 800m, this filly became detached from the field and Jockey J Gates did not persevere with his ride from the 600m. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. b) Trainer L Crawford (COZY DOT COM) will be advised that her runner failed to adequately parade and that should this filly behave similarly in future, it may be suspended. c) INGAKARA (N Patel), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
