THE STARTER REPORTED: a) THE BAYOU (*D Geerthsen) and FARLAND (G Wright) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) BEND THE RULES (*G Pieterse) over-raced in the early and middle stages. b) At the 300m, WINTER WAVES (S Moodley) and TIME TAKER (*S Hlengwa) came together and bumped. c) Jockey R Khathi (SEA MASTER) accidentally dropped his crop at the 150m. d) Apprentice K Brewer reported that he felt something amiss with PARALLAX in the running and as a result he did not persevere with his ride from the 250m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) CORAPI (W Kennedy) over-raced in the early and middle stages and thereafter compounded in the concluding stages. In view of the performance of CORAPI (W Kennedy) (18.10 lengths, 6/1 in the betting) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) AL'S MY DADDY (A Marcus), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
