Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CITY OF DREAMS (*I Taka) was nervous in the stalls and rushed the front gates and thereafter was slow into stride. b) BLUE PALACE (L Mxothwa) was reluctant to load, nervous in the stalls, fly-jumped leaving the stalls and was slow into stride, causing a slight delay. c) DREAM SCAPE (Y Ramzan) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) CITY OF DREAMS recorded a TCO2 concentration of more than 36 mmol/L. Trainer K Mitchley was advised that a second blood specimen would be collected. This specimen was of an acceptable TCO2 level. b) ICE CAP (C Zackey) was hanging out from the 400m and was corrected at the 100m. c) BLUE PALACE (L Mxothwa) rolled in from the 150m and was corrected at the 50m. d) In view of the report from the Starter regarding BLUE PALACE (L Mxothwa), Trainer SB Kotzen will be advised to have this filly re-schooled prior to her next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10. e) BRETTY, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis Trainer WGC Miller was advised.
