Stipes Report
The start of this race was delayed due to the 30-minute interval between races 8 and 9. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) At the 200m Apprentice B Marx-Jacobson (IBHELE) dropped his right-side rein which he regained shortly thereafter. b) At the 150m CIRCUMBENDIBUS (S Moodley) which commenced to hang in, was steadied to avoid the heels of DAPPER (*M Mbuto) which shifted out away from the crop. Shortly thereafter IBHELE (*B Marx-Jacobson), CIRCUMBENDIBUS (S Moodley), REAL WAR (C Zackey) and COUNTER ATTACK (S Veale) suffered varying degrees of interference when awkwardly placed on the inside of WILD JUSTICE (S Khumalo) which shifted in away from the crop. c) Jockey S Khumalo was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that he, as the rider of WILD JUSTICE, failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to the horses IBHELE (*B Marx-Jacobson), CIRCUMBENDIBUS (S Moodley), REAL WAR (C Zackey) and COUNTER ATTACK (S Veale) at the 150m. Jockey S Khumalo signed an admission of guilt and was suspended from riding in races for a period of seven days (Dates to be advised). d) Apprentice W Fourie (SMORGASBORD) completed a satisfactory qualifying ride. e) WILD JUSTICE (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer G van Zyl (Jnr) was advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) IBHELE raced equipped with blinkers (advised 19.09.2025/12h20). b) Jockey T Godden was the rider of CHOCOLATE BOMB (advised 21.09.2025/08h26).
