THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CALLMEMRGREENLIGHT (J Gates), GET CARTER (N Patel), HIGH VELOCITY (A Mgudlwa) and FINAL DESTINY (C Dicken) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Approaching the 200m, CALLMEMRGREENLIGHT (J Gates) had to ease when tightened for galloping room between the inside running rail and HIGH VELOCITY (A Mgudlwa) which was hanging in and carried in by PEDRO (S Moodley) which was hanging in from the 300m. In assessing this incident, the Board was of the opinion that blame could not be apportioned to any individual rider and therefore no further action was taken. b) GIMME A RAINBOW (*M Katjedi), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Hewitson advised (NS). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) GIMME A RAINBOW was ridden by Apprentice M Katjedi (claiming 2.5kg) (advised 13.12.2022 / 09h01). b) CALLMEMRGREENLIGHT raced unshod and with cheek pieces (advised 14.12.2022 / 07h42).
