THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Leaving the 900m BLESS ME FRED (R A Venniker) and LOVE IN WINTER (A Mgudlwa) were eased when awkwardly placed on the inside of RAFA'S BOY (S Moodley) which shifted in. Apprentice S Hlengwa signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that as the rider of PHILISPIEL, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to RAFA'S BOY (S Moodley) and LOVE IN WINTER (A Mgudlwa) at approximately the 800m. Accordingly a penalty of a suspension from riding in races for a period of seven days was imposed. (Suspension dates to be advised). b) DONQUERARI (*B Plaatjies), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer L W Goosen advised (DZ).
