THE STARTER REPORTED: a) JET LEGACY (A Mgudlwa) was restless in the stalls. b) NORTHERN WARRIOR (R A Venniker) and FLIGHT PATH (S Hlengwa) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Leaving the starting stalls BLESS ME FRED (C Zackey) was bumped in by FLIGHT PATH (S Hlengwa) which was bumped in by SUPER FAST (T Godden) which jumped in. Thereafter FLIGHT PATH (S Hlengwa) was squeezed out. b) At the 150m NORTHERN WARRIOR (R A Venniker) was inconvenienced when racing in restricted room between FIRE TONIC (S Veale) which rolled in marginally and RAFA'S BOY (S Moodley) which rolled out marginally. Thereafter FIRE TONIC (S Veale) was brushed by FLIGHT PATH (S Hlengwa) which was hanging in from the 250m. c) Jockey C Zackey reported that BLESS ME FRED took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Jockey C Habib reported that he felt something amiss in the running with TINTAMARRE. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) CONNERY (*J Botes), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer J Buckler acting on behalf of Trainer G S Kotzen advised (SP). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Apprentice D Pillay (claiming 4 kg) was the rider of PHILISPIEL (advised 29.08.2024/11h57). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil.
