The tongue tie on MEXICAN PETE (K Matsunyane) had to be refitted at the start. This caused a delay to the start of this race. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) RICH FOLKS HOAX (C Zackey) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) KING OF SPIN (C Habib) hung in, in the straight. b) Shortly before the finish THISISWHATITMEANS (T Godden) which had come to the end of its run was tightened for galloping room between the inside running rail and FUTURE FLO (R A Venniker) which hung in and shifted in from the 350m. c) EXCEPT TEMPTATION (G Lerena) hung in from the 300m. d) In view of the performance of VIHAAN'S WEB (M Yeni) which trailed the field, The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) QUANDARY (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
